Tax Grievance season has arrived at the Town of Malta, NY. You may bring in your forms and backup information to them from now through May 22, 2012. They recommend that you drop your paperwork off early.
The information you bring in will then be given to the Board of Assessment Review. If you choose to, you may present your information in person on May 22, 2012 - but the Board gives no preference to those who present in person. They review all the information given as if you were there during the review. Those choosing to give their case in person are given 10-15 minutes to present their information.
The 4th Tuesday in May is Grievance Day in Malta, NY - and this year that falls on May 22, 2012.
