Ever since my children and granchildren were small, we've always taught them that you can find the answers for all the dilemmas of life in the Bible. Often there aren't specific verses for your specific situation - it might be principles instead that you can follow which will guide you through any situation. But sometimes - there are individual Bible verses that tell you exactly what you need to know.
Last night I read a horrible article with a list of flashmobs. Not those flashmobs of kindness, or the ones that show up at your local mall to sing the Hallelujah Chorus.
I'm talking about the violent flashmobs that have occurred in recent months. I'm not entirely sure I'd have put every incident they listed in this article into the "violent flashmob" category, but even removing out the 4-5 people attacking someone incidents - the list was mind-boggling. I hesitated referencing it here - because I surely do NOT want to encourage anyone in that direction. But it's just too widespread to ignore.
This morning, while reading in Exodus, I saw the verse.
If you're brain is fried enough that you've actually wondered if you should join in with these violent flashmobs - Here's your answer. And it doesn't get much clearer than this.
"Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil." Exodus 23:2a
